Angie Shafer

Angie’s competitive spirit and love for volleyball has helped developed numerous girls from beginner level into club players. Angie started coaching volleyball in the mid-90’s for a Catholic school on the west side of Cincinnati. She played in high school, where she trained as a setter and continued playing recreation into her adult years with her husband Chuck.

In Angie’s spare time, she manages the social media and communications for OVR as well as sitting on the Board of Directors. It’s not uncommon during the regular season to find Angie attending an OVR tournament or event and advocating volleyball. She firmly believes every kid that wants to play should have a volleyball in hand and given that opportunity.

Coach Kelly Foster has been coaching volleyball off and on since 2001.  She has coached for 13 years at Milford Junior High at the 7th and 8th grade levels. Coach Foster has spent time developing youth volleyball programs by coaching youth camps, clinics, and recreational leagues.  Her love for the game extends to sand volleyball, which she plays in two different leagues.

Coach Foster coached at MJHS for 11 years before taking time off to raise her family with her husband Joe. She returned to coaching when her daughter, Sophie started playing volleyball.  When Sophie reached the junior high, Coach Foster returned to coaching the sport that she loved at her beloved MJHS.

Kelly Perkins

Kelly is no stranger to the volleyball court, she started playing in 7th grade and continued throughout high school as a defensive specialist. She is currently coaching her third year at Hillsboro Middle school. Many of her players have continued to play in higher competitive leagues including their high school team and at a club level. In addition to coaching junior high athletes, she volunteers her time coaching in a recreation league for 5th and 6th graders.

Kelly has a blended family of eight children with her husband, Drew. In her limited downtime, Kelly is also known to participate in adult leagues. She loves volleyball and being able to influence the lives of young adults and players in a positive way.
